Banteay Srey Butterfly Centre, situated roughly 25km north of Siem Reap, is home to South-East Asia's largest butterfly exhibit with thousands of colourful free-flying butterflies, all of which are native species to Cambodia. Housed in a beautiful netted garden, the centre provides an interactive, visual environment where visitors can learn about the 30 different species and their habits.
The butterflies are farmed in a responsible and sustainable way, while at the same time supporting local communities and conservation projects through the proceeds from ticket sales.
At Banteay Srey Butterfly Centre you can see the butterflies feeding and you can also learn about the fascinating lifecycles of the many different species housed at the centre. The friendly, knowledgeable staff will greet you on your arrival and will take you on a tour of the facility. You will learn the background of the project, about the butterfly lifecycle and ecology of butterflies.
There is a small cafe on-site where drinks and meals are available and toilet facilities.
Open 7 days a week from 9am to 5pm, entrance is $4 for adults and $2 for children.
